The tasks that await you
As our new colleague and Senior Chartering Manager in Copenhagen, you will be operating within the European time zone. However, you will work in close collaboration with colleagues located in the US covering other time zones.

You will focus on negotiating and securing profitable shipping contracts, optimizing vessel utilization while adapting to fluctuating market conditions and cultivating positive relationships with clients, brokers, and other key stakeholders in the Handysize market.

Besides this, your primary responsibility includes:

  • Maximising earnings on own tonnage.

  • Handling short & medium-term contracts, tonnage and cargoes by making autonomous decisions.

  • Developing strategic trades to enable growth globally.  

  • Coordinating and positioning our fleet in close cooperation with your direct team and our global offices.  

  • Analysing market research, information, and trends to formulate and share market views.

Apart from this and to be successful in this role, it is important that you can see yourself in the below statements:

  • You hold 5-10 years of experience as a Chartering Manager or from a similar role, ideally within the Handysize market.

  • You know of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and risk management practices to ensure all operations are conducted in line with legal and company requirements.

  • You have a sharp commercial sense to assess risks, evaluate market conditions, and make quick, data-driven decisions that optimise vessel utilization and profitability.

  • You understand hedging, FFA and the underlying risk related to position on a basic level.

  • You have proven negotiation abilities to secure competitive contracts with clients, brokers, and other stakeholders, ensuring favourable terms and maximized profitability.
